The show delves deep into the ins and outs of the advertising industry, but what makes the story so powerful is how it provides a social commentary on upper class life in the 1960s. You’ll see a world where drinking and smoking is a sign of class, where there are real desperate housewives in the suburbs, where adultery seems to be commonplace, where women are seen as sexual objects, and where *gasp* there are not computers!
